Power Analytics™ Awarded New U.S. Patent

2013/6/11      view:

Company becomes industry’s only provider of real-time power usage efficiency

San Diego, Calif., June 4, 2013 – Power Analytics Corporation was recently awarded an additional technology patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for formulating real-time predictions about power usage efficiency (PUE) and/or data center infrastructure efficiency (DCiE) of an electrical system. This patent makes Power Analytics Corporation the only software company in the power systems management space to provide real-time power usage efficiency (PUE) to the data center segment.

“This is a tremendous accomplishment and makes Power Analytics the single software provider of real-time power usage efficiency to the data center market,” said Power Analytics CTO Kevin Meagher. “The entire suite of Paladin® Software gives our customers the ability to manage and control their critical power infrastructure while saving hundreds of thousands of dollars, minimizing downtime, recovering stranded load capacity, reducing energy costs and optimizing business continuity.”
Power usage effectiveness (PUE) and data center infrastructure efficiency (DCiE) are two powerful analytic tools, which enable data center operators to quickly estimate the energy efficiency of their data center, compare the results against other data centers, and determine if any energy efficiency improvements need to be made.

Power Analytics Director of Power Engineering, Dr. Brian Radibratovic along with Kevin Meagher were named inventors on this most recent patent. Power Analytics has the most extensive intellectual property portfolio in the power management market today with more than 25 worldwide patents granted to date.
